About me

I have worked as a childminder for more than 10 years. I love my job and have a huge passion for supporting children's learning.

I like to promote continuous professional development for all my staff, including myself. We use Educare to keep up with crucial policies and procedures and we are always on the look out for new techniques and ideas we can bring into the setting.

My Team

The setting

I run my business from my home which I feel provides a familiar, comfortable setting for children. I have a big garden space with a great view of passing trains, and a little dog named Max!

Meal Times

At our setting children are provided with 3 healthy and home - cooked meals a day along with snack, we aim to ensure the children learn about healthy eating, the cooking process, where food comes from and different cultural foods. We often include children in the meal making process whether that's choosing what they would like to eat this week or helping with the cooking and serving.

Companies we work closely with

We are very pleased to be able to offer the children the opportunity to widen their understanding of the world through  weekly Spanish lessons  provided by Katy from Todo el Mundo.

The children have the opportunity to practice New words in English and Spanish  and practice patience and turn taking. The children find the lessons entertaining and are able to count/ use Spanish words thought out the day

We make a trip to the toy library every couple of months, it's a wonderful way of sustainably having new toys for the children to play with.

The children attend classes at Funky Monkey studio where they get to do yoga, aerial hoop and climbing.

Teach it forward is a great tutoring company that provides engaging teaching resources.

Doggie Doo's have been looking after Maxy for many years. He always has a great time there and comes back mucky!
